Our parish is deeply grateful for your decision to be an altar server. Your service and dedication are important parts of our parish life. It is an extreme privilege to kneel so close to the altar as our loving Savior, Jesus Christ, becomes truly present, body, blood, soul and divinity, just as He was at the Last Supper and Calvary, and therefore servers are chosen from those who display a desire for a more intimate union with Our Lord and God, Jesus Christ.
Our Mission
The Saint Tarcisius Guild trains and provides Altar Servers to assist the priest and deacon during the Holy Mass and in other liturgical celebrations. Altar Servers strive to profess the love of Christ trough service at the altar and to develop a spiritual life centered in the Eucharist. Our labor contributes to the Work of the Faithful and the prayer of the Church, therefore, building the Body of Christ.
Directory/Schedule
The Saint Tarcisius Guild publishes a directory of all altar servers once a year and a schedule every six weeks.
Services
Altar Servers will provide assistance to the priest and deacon during Sunday liturgical celebrations as cross bearer, candle bearer and thurifer as assigned by the celebrant. Also, they can be the miter bearer and crosier bearer during Confirmation Mass. Altar Servers can also participate in other celebrations like Quinceañeras, weddings, funerals, etc.
